A connection that preceded the remix
Shelly told Soca News in January 2026 that he had wanted to collaborate with Farmer Nappy for some time. He recalled Signal hiring Farmer for the band’s Lumi-Nation Carnival J’Ouvert troupe in 2018.
Discussing “Cooking” and his work with Krys on “Lè i Bon,” he described becoming more confident singing in Creole while continuing to learn the language. This is his account of an artistic development, rather than proof that the two songs share a recording session.

The studio single carries November 6, 2025 in Apple’s catalog. Farmer Nappy’s official live upload, published November 18, describes Farmer and Shelly performing the Kompa remix aboard the 2025 Uber Soca Cruise, backed by A Team Band.
The A Team credit belongs to that live performance. It should not replace the individual studio credits, and the video upload date is not an exact concert date.
