Carlyn XP

The story so far.

Carlyn XP is Dominican singer and songwriter Carlyn Xavier-Phillip. Her festival biography documents work with the band Fanatik and C Square, a duo with musician Cornell Phillip, alongside her solo recordings. It also records Bouyon Monarch wins in 2016 and 2017. During the pandemic, her online Musical Therapy performances became another way to reach listeners. At the inaugural Dominica Music Awards on January 29, 2022, she received five awards: Female Artist, Female Bouyon Artist, Album, Bouyon Song for Bouyon Water, and Virtual Event for Musical Therapy. Speaking after the ceremony, she described continuing to create during the restrictions and thanked her supporters. Bouyon Water and Bumpa Scare are two selected listening points; the provider credits name Carlyn Xavier-Phillip and Cornell Phillip among their writers. Her full captured release inventory is separate from these two examples.
