Colton T

The story so far.

Colton T is Dominican reggae and dancehall artist Colton Thomas, from Goodwill. His 2021 eMAGE interview describes a hands-on working process at his Pottersville studio: writing, producing and promoting his own music, with occasional engineering collaboration from Tige Magloire. Icecream Man became an early marker in his career in 2013, followed by releases including Special, Hunt My Own and Bomb in the City. In 2019 he performed at the World Creole Music Festival and released Impossible. The interview calls that project an EP and discusses songs including Faze, Doin’ It and Black Beauty. Black Beauty’s video was filmed at Ti Kwen Glo Cho in Wotten Waven. Black Beauty and Icecream Man provide two selected listening points, with the catalog keeping their single and album appearances separate from their earlier performance or writing histories.
