Behind the music

The story so far.

K-Reen is a singer, songwriter and composer with roots in French Guiana and a career developed in the Paris region. Her music moves between R&B, rap and zouk, and she has described that mixture as an important part of her artistic identity. Her collaboration with Def Bond on the Taxi soundtrack brought her to a wider French audience, while later work continued to connect urban music with Caribbean influences. Soleil de ma vie, featuring Lesnah, and Pa Si Move, featuring Mainy, offer entry points into the zouk-facing side of her catalogue. Alongside her own recordings, she has worked as a backing vocalist for other artists. Her place here reflects the dialogue between Caribbean song and the wider French-language R&B scene.
