Akeem Chance’s work as a singer, songwriter and former dancer.
Behind the music
The story so far.
Preedy is Akeem Chance, a singer, songwriter and former dancer. A Newsday report published in August 2025 introduced him as a national freestyle champion and dated his Carnival 2025 song Blaze Fire to December 2024. The same report credits him with a win in the national extempo competition and third place in the first Ultimate Soca Champion contest. It also records the June launch of My Girl, produced by Kit Israel, who had worked with him on Blaze Fire as well. In comments to Overtime Media quoted in that report, Preedy described a year of growth and success; the report adds that he planned to release new music. Those plans remain distinct from the releases already documented.
