Behind the music

The story so far.

Riddla’s work spans music, satire and broadcasting. La Cigale’s concert archive traces his beginnings with NO’CLAN alongside Fuckly and the album C-Pag’Na, then describes singles across rap, reggae, gwoka, soca, zouk and bouyon. Discussing Ti Bidon with Le Courrier de Guadeloupe in 2014, he explained how he adapted Carnival’s mocking song tradition to a contemporary fuel-supply dispute. His humor also has a documented radio history. France Télévisions credits him with the voices and texts for the 2021 animated On Sèl Manjé Kochon; project originator Fabrice Troupé explains that it adapted Riddla’s 2010 radio series on Guadeloupe La 1ère. Those screen and radio contributions sit alongside his studio music and concert repertoire.
