Behind the music

The story so far.

Iwer George is a Trinidad and Tobago soca performer whose repertoire includes Come to Meh and Take ah Bathe. In a 2026 Gleaner interview, he traced his beginnings to singing calypso and kaiso in the tents, describing his move with soca as an ongoing willingness to change. His account of Carnival reaches beyond the recording studio: he points listeners toward J’ouvert, Pretty Mas, calypso tents, panyard rehearsals and Panorama as parts of the same cultural experience. The two selected recordings provide starting points in his own catalog. Their provider pages credit him as performer and name Neil George among the writers, while retaining the separate contributors to each song. The catalog also records collaborations and compilation appearances, distinguishing the featured artist’s tracks from the other music on shared releases.
