Behind the music
The story so far.
Lady Lava is Keisha Rebeca Harris, as identified by Trinidad and Tobago’s Artist Registry. In her Caribbean Entertainment Hub interview, the Central Trinidad performer recalled beginning to write her own music in her twenties and named Bring It Back as her first song. She described drawing ideas from her life and the events around her. The interview also places Keep It a Secret, Tail Light and Stab It Out within her earlier repertoire. In March 2025 she joined Squeezy Rankin for UWI’s From Steam to Soca discussion; the event account describes a Trinibad performer who also identifies herself as a poet. Ring Finger and Pepper Vine offer two different recordings in the selected listening entries. Separate provider profiles bearing her name remain isolated until their specific editions can be connected to her.
